Just went a-looking before I posted. Several other rifles at multi-thousand price points, none of which are listed here by the same user.

The new picture intrigues me, though. I can't seem to find that exact angle for the rifle so far.

I thought so for the paper. Could be there's other pictures somewhere else, but the seller seems to like using that pretty little yellow bench for displaying their rifles. Perhaps a photo of the bench itself would remove our doubts!

I've been looking at a customized "Southern" rifle from TVM Natchez. .50 cal, swamped barrel, walnut or cherry instead of maple, a Queen Anne style lock. But I would consider a finished rifle from someone, if it fit my price range and style enough. I don't have the ability to do with kits and would need someone to finish it too.

Yeah when I saw what member was selling those, I was really thrown off. It was more of a wow you never really know what people are up to. He definitely is not an aggressive person, so probably a hacked account.

There was another post from Tigris115 before this one featuring a Parker-Hale Musketoon that was sold on another auction last week. I had sent him the web page for this and his reply was “dude whats your problem” I would think the account had been hacked as the grammar used does not seem consistent with his previous postings.

Ya, one of the reasons that, in my initial post, I asked what the bbl length was. No reply. Anyone who just finished a flintlock knows what barrel length they used.........thanks for heads up on the passwords......FWB

Quick update. I contacted @tigris115 via email yesterday and can confirm that this offer did not originate from him as someone accessed his AH member's account with his password. In turn the scammer changed his password and email address associated with that account. I restored @tigris115 account so everything is back in order.

I want to be very clear, unequivocally his account was not hacked on AH. The most likely cause of what has transpired lately is that users/members are being phished into sharing the password or maybe they are using weak or common passwords, even on multiple websites/platforms. It is also a possibility that other websites where members use the same password and even perhaps the same username could have been hacked. Sometimes this information is also sold on the dark web as scammers know that people often use the same or similar passwords for many accounts.

This is the third time now that this has happened on the site, but this is happening all over on the internet and the answer is simple, I encourage and recommend members to change their passwords to something unique and strong by using a combination of multiple numbers, letters and characters.

I have said it before but it bears repeating for everyone safety and security everywhere online, I whole heartedly recommend to use different passwords for all of your accounts and a good way to do that is to use a password manager like 1Password and there are others like it. This was one of the best decisions I've made security and time management wise. If you do online banking such a tool is a necessity, you will not regret it but if you don't you might. Things can happen very quickly in this digital landscape where we are all buying, selling and banking. It may save you a lot of grief, perhaps money and make your life so much easier...

Thanks, If I had the money, I probably would’ve bought that Musketoon and been out some hard earned cash, and kibler makes some great kits, another good kit maker is caywood, they have a beutifull officers fusil and an English game gun that are on my dream list.
