You could always go straight to the source, George Gibbs Riflemaker, LTD still has original production barrels and actions, and will make them up to your specifications. It might cost a bit more than the MRC or CZ..................FWB

Why not a Mod17 Enfield?

I think the receiver will handle the 505 easily.

If I'm not mistaken, the Enfield has a lot of room for the big cartridges. I will check with my Enfield person.

Just got an email from my Bud. Yes, the mod17 will work with the 505 Gibbs. Said that Jim Wisner wrote a piece about the conversion in the American Custom Gunmaker Guild magazine a few years ago.
