Hey guys, i have 25 465 Holland &Holland brass. The brass is straight walled with no neck taper? Almost looks like basic. It is H&H brass and new. Some of the necks are dented up a little from storage and need to go thru a die. Asking 175.00 for them but if I'm off let me know and an offer.

Wow! You're the first AH member here who has actually admitted to having an actual .465 H&H cartridge case in their possession, despite the pleadings of @Pheroze and myself for the last several years for any AH member to produce one. Nobody came forward. You have the rimmed version but beggars can't be choosy. LOL. GLWS!

@CoElkHunter
These are not the newer 465 H&H mag for the bolt gun. These are rimmed casings for the 500/465 H&H NE double guns, been around over 100 years.
Oh, thanks for the clarification.

Pretty sure this is brass made by BELL for H&H back in the '80s. The loaded ammo came in brown plastic boxes of ten.

THANKS .... FYI ... FROM WIKIPEDIA

The .500/465 Nitro Express is a large bore interfere rifle cartridge developed by Holland & Holland and introduced in 1907.

The .500/465 Nitro Express is one of several rounds (including the .470 Nitro Express, .475 Nitro Express, .475 No. 2 Nitro Express and .476 Nitro Express) developed as a replacement for the .500/450 Nitro Express following the British authorities' 1907 ban of military caliber ammunition in India and the Sudan, all with comparable performance.

Holland & Holland created the .500/465 Nitro Express by necking down the .500 Nitro Express 3+1⁄4

The .500/465 Nitro Express is designed for use in single-shot and double rifles.

History of the 500/.465 (3&1/4″) Nitro Express cartridge: The .500/.465 (3&1/4″) Nitro Express was introduced by Holland & Holland of England to answer the demand for a cartridge more powerful then the 375 H&H Magnum (375 Holland & Holland Magnum) . At close to 5,000 foot pounds of energy this cartridge has as much energy at 200 yards as the 375 H&H Magnum has at the muzzle.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
