Here's a young doe I managed to take with one of my .45 Colt Redhawks. She was facing me with her head down feeding at 43 yards. I lined up on her neck and hit her in the head.

I've only killed 2 other deer with handguns in my life. This particular stand lends itself well to hand gun hunting. The load I used was 8 grains of Unique with a 255 grain deep hollow point lead bullet from GT Bullets.
Oh and I ate her back straps earlier this week. Very tender.
