.416 Weatherby

I have a custom 416wby and you can load it up or down to equal any other 416. Used one in Zambia on PG. mine is CRF. Big power!
Would that be on a Montana PH action ? They did a nice stainless/synthetic on a Montana PH, nice rifle...nothing wrong with the calibre in the right rifle etc.

I handloaded ammunition for a friend of a friend who was taking his 416wby on a cape buffalo hunt. The first thing that I did was ask him if he wanted it loaded to be a 416wby or a 416 Rigby. After shooting some loaded to match the Rigby velocity he felt that was plenty and it was. If you handload that is an easy option and certainly makes it a bit more pleasant to shoot.

No, a p14 built 30 years ago. I have a stainless Montana in 505 Gibbs.

I’ve come to the concussion with mine that the recoil isn’t all that bad.

Put a decent brake in it and you can piss your friends and neighbors off equally.

GORGEOUS rifle! I love Weatherby, contrary to most on this forum for reasons I don't understand, I just wish they would offer the Mark v in crf.

Yeah, the brake is very useful for clearing the benches on either side of you at a public range. I use mine for that quite often. LOL

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
