416 Rigby powder using Barnes 400 Grs TSX

H-4350 with 350 and 400gr TSX's, I loaded mine to near 416 WBY levels, you can start if you wish with a chronograph and 94gr H-4350 under 400gr TSX, work up to what your rifle and shoulder likes ; ]

I used Norma brass and FED-215 primers, a very versatile and powerful hunting round with rich, rich African hunting history, one of my all time favorites, if a man was so inclined, 350gr TTSX's at 2800+ fps is a 400 yard ALL game ANYWHERE load.

The 416 Rigby is so versatile that you can lean on it or throttle back a bit and get great results on anything. My Dakota likes 92.0 grains of H4350 with 400 TSX and the loads are never an issue in hot weather. I have never recovered one on buff. If you limited me to one gun/load in Africa, that would be it. I have thought about playing with the 350 TSX but so far I'm real happy with the 400's.

I have found that my rifle like H4350 the best.

H and IMR 4350 for me. In my rifle H gives me an edge with groups. But not enough to not use IMR if needed.
91 grains of H4350 happiness for me. May need to go to 93 with the TSX but the Rigby has plenty of headroom.

That 92.0 range plus or minus has been good for many with 400 TSX in the Rigby. You will shoot through buff.

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
