404 Jeffery Safari Barrel for Blaser R8 - J Sip & Sons

Guys, I wanted to give one MASSIVE shout out to Justin Sip at J Sip & Sons. I ordered a 404 Jeffery Barrel from him on May 8th 2025, and it was shipped to me in Canada on 18 June 2025, barely 5 weeks later.

I ordered the Blaser R8 barrel in 404 Jeffery in 24" length and in the Safari contour (22mm), complete with Banded front sight with silver bead, Masterpiece rear sight (to match Blaser Custom shop barrel) and barrel band for a sling, cerakoted black. Justin also ordered in a Magnum Bolt head and modified it for 404 Jeffery as well as a magazine insert for the 404 Jeffery.

To say I am pleased, is an absolute understatement. The entire process from the day I first emailed Justin, right up to today has been absolutely world class. The barrel looks like a million $.

I'm absolutely ecstatic about it, and I never in my wildest dreams thought it would come out this awesome.

I cannot thank Justin enough for the superb barrel he built me - I have never before dealt with Justin, but would do so with my eyes closed, any day!! Justin, if you read these threads, KUDO's to you. This was absolutely one of THE nicest experiences I have had in many years dealing with anyone.

Yeah, I read some good and some bad stories about J Sip & Sons, and I decided to give it a go, and it was SUCH a pleasant, easy transaction and the end result is SUPERB to say the least. I'm SO happy with the barrel. And I wanted to write a "review" to give Justin the kudo's he deserves. It was flawless dealing with him.

No, 5 1/2 weeks start to finish with all the specs I gave them. They built it from scratch.

Damn. I’ve been tempted by a 17 mm contour 416 Rem mag barrel from J Sipp and sons as well as some other things and this makes me even more interested.

Quite a bit cheaper than a factory barrel - happily paid it as it’s super nice.
