Ammo is sold to @Hornedfrogbbq Thank you, Sir!!

I'm curious to know how you came up with the name Hornedfrogbbq, as you can see, my screen name isn't very ingenious!! lol

Well I went to TCU in Fort Worth and their mascot is the Horned Frog. A mythical creature that is basically a horned toad/lizard. It was a tiny, damn near unknown Christian liberal arts school when i attended in the late 1980's. Now it is still small (although 50% larger than when i attended) and only slightly more well known.

The BBQ comes from growing up in Kansas City and my folks having a competitive BBQ team back in the mid 1980's. Now I am a member of the team that took over my parent's team (basically my offensive and defensive line on my high school football team) and started a team down here in Fort Worth that only cooks for charity events. We'll get auctioned off for a good cause and go cook for someone's birthday or cater an event for 1500 folks.

It was actually in KC that I used to watch Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins (and poor Jim who always seemed to get his rear kicked) and Curt Gowdy that got me interested in hunting. It was also getting to read Peterson's at the barbershop and a writer named Craig Boddington that was also from Kansas but was doing these amazing adventures in Africa. All of those things started my curiosity with the outdoors. My family was a camping/hiking and fishing family and it was only through friends that I got the bug to hunt, starting with duck hunting at age 12. Then in college it moved to deer and pig hunting in Texas while attending TCU.

...and now I'm scheduled to go on the first safari the last week of August and taking my daughters and my wife. Both my girls grew up shooting ducks/dove and deer and pigs and the like.

AND THAT all got me onto finding this website quite a bit ago to do my homework and research. The sharing of information, the lack of drama and the honestly amazing knowledge members have on here and are willing to teach is humbling to me.
