My personal Pet load with the 300gr VRG-3 and 77.1gr of RL17, using Fed 215M primers averaged 2594 fps with an ES of 2!

I have both the earliest versions of the Alaskan and African in 375 Ruger.
The Alaskan, I have hunted with quite a bit, killed a couple of moose with it.
The African, I have only fired 3 shots in it. Just to compare fired brass to another rifle that I had re-barrel’d to 375 Ruger.
One of these days, I will get around to making the time chronographing my loads. The 270 grain TSX have grouped excellent to outstanding in 3 rifles that I have loaded it in.

I have still not ran my original 270 gr TSX load over the chronograph.

I did run my new load via LabRadar a few weeks ago.
A Barnes online maximum load of H380, with the COAL extended to 3.350" using the 270 grain LRX bullet. Through my 20" factory barrel, the 5 shot average was 2723 fps.

A 270 grain monolithic with a bc of above .440 at 2700 fps is plenty good for me. I like the handling characteristics of the 20" barrel.

I don't have an African model, but my Alaskan shoots 270gr SP-RP from Hornady at 2714FPS - 79.8gr of W760 - safe in my rifle - YMMV - hope this helps a tiny bit.

If I remember correctly, they were genuine stainless and not just a cheesy Cerakote.

I had a blast shooting those 235's. Recoil energy was 35 ft/lbs, but that's mostly to the Hogue stock, Nikon 1-4x24, and 9 rounds on the stock. Should be a good load to nail deer down.

I have a Howa 1500 in .375 Ruger - 20in barrel and a Ruger African - 23in barrel. Both are 1/12. My numbers are similar to what others have posted.

I'm not trying to start a debate about suppressors (silencers) I know some of you don't like them. But I do. I shoot both of my .375s suppressed. I enjoy the noise and recoil reduction. Adding 8 inches to a 24-26 inch barrel would be too much IMO so I favor shorter barrels. I also gain a little velocity with the silencer on.

I get 2760fps in a 22” Hawkeye FTW with 83 grains rl16 and a 270 Barnes LRX in case you want a data point in the middle
