Does Barnes make loads for 375 Ruger. That's what I was trying to get the GMX to work for? I've tried the 270gr. 375 Ruger that Double Tap loads their ok $$$ but accurate. Not Hornady GMX, but with Barnes monolithics I have to adjust the COAL (cartridge over all length) to make mine shoot well. Once the best powder charge is determined using Barnes's COAL recommendation, I start changing the COAL by .010 first shortening it. To date my 375 H&H has been able to consistently get 5/16-5/8" groups using Barnes 235 TSX, 250 TTSX and 300 TSX. My 300 Win Mag 5/8" with Barnes 165 and 168 TTSX. And my 30-06 1/2-5/8" using Barnes 130, 150 and 168 TTSX.
If you don't handload, I'd give the Barnes Vor-TX ammo a try. Granted it's more costly, but again with my guns everything is under 1" when I do my part. Hardly worth the difference to reload except I enjoy it and I shoot a lot.
Good luck!
Unfortunately only Hornady, Swift and Double Tap make 375 Ruger ammo that I know of. Midway USA had the Swift stuff on sale right now. I started reloading to get Barnes bullets in that round. That said, it certainly doesn't hurt to let Barnes know the business they are losing for not loading it. I did when they started their safari line. If they see enough interest they will make it, it's just good business.Does Barnes make loads for 375 Ruger. That's what I was trying to get the GMX to work for? I would like to find a load for the 375 Ruger that would work with the GMX. I've tried 5 different hand loads with three different powders without any consistent accuracy. Very disappointed with Hornady's Superformance factory ammo considering Hornady developed the 375 Ruger. Ruger Guide Gun 20 inch barrel. The Factory and hand load Swift A-Frames show very consistent accuracy at all ranges with point blank zero from 25 to 100 yards in my rifle. I'm booked for leopard and plans game in Namibia 2019 so I need consistent accuracy from 25 out to 300 yards? So a 200 yard zero is recommended for the 375 Ruger? I wanted the GMX for the expansion as seen in the posted photos here on leopard. But since I can't get under 2.5 inch groups with any loads for the GMX it looks like I'll go with Swift so I can go with one load for all my Namibia hunting. I'll be testing the 250 gr Swift A-Frame on Maine Black Bear at the end of this month. Should be a fair test for Leopard from a blind?Fred: Are you shooting a 20 inch or 23 inch barrelled rifle? I have a 23 inch and have found little difference in accurancy for various bullets. However, I have just shot the 270 gr and 300 gr Hornady stuff and I get 300 gr Swift A-Frame from Hendershots. I plan to try the Swift Ammo later this year, now that they are another source for factory loaded A-Frames.
You might give Hendersot's a call and tell them what you want to try with the GMX bullet.

Nope Factory GMX Superformance factory ammo was very inconsistent and I went through 4 boxes? Never better than 2.5 inches at 100 yards with many "flyers" Maybe my barrel just likes the A-Frames sub 1 inch every time out? At half the price of Swift factory ammo I would love the GMX Superformance to work....#can't afford a wounded leopard??How far off the lands are you seating the GMX? The factory Superformance wouldn't shoot for you?
I seat my reloads to factory specs. I'm not far enough along in the reloading game to to seat the bullets so their just on the rifling. Not all guns like all bullets that's for sure. The Superformance is typically pretty accurate but obviously your rifle doesn't like it. Definitely doesn't make sense to shoot ammo that your rifle doesn't like. Superformance is typically quite high velocity so perhaps the combination of lighter weight bullet and high velocity isn't a match for your barrel twist. How far off the lands are you loading the GMX?
Well, let us say that Hornady changes the DGX by making it a bonded bullet that reliably expanded from 2100 up to 3000 fps. Could that be a game changer? It's not about accuracy Doc. And it's not just on AH that the DGX gets a bad rap. Talk to me at DSC or Vegas in a few months.

I will not even discuss a company that cannot calculate a BC. But It will be something to see if they can match an A-FrameIf Hornady came out with their own version of the A-Frame or North Fork Bonded Core that replicated that performance.....sure. Especially if they figured out how to keep the price the same as the current DGX. Not sure that's possible however.

If you want something that tough then they have the GMX. Calibre options are a bit limited at this time but they are adding to the line up every year. Expect to see more big bores in the coming years just as you have with Barnes. You are seeing more and more manufacturers move to mono metals...for a reason....they work under tough conditions. I suspect the cup and core technology advances will be more aimed at the long-range market. Like Nosler did with the LR Accubond and Hornady with the ELD-X.
