Duke, if you have never tried pirate ship, you might give it a try. We trap up here in Montana and at the end of the season I send all of our hides in together to the tannery. This can be a very large box most seasons. UPS or USPS wanted over $800 to ship it this last season. I went on to pirate ship, put in my weights and box dimensions, and they charged me $97…print the label, tape it to the box and you can drop it off at usps, ups, fedex. Pretty nice and affordable option. Just a suggestion or something to keep in mind in the future when the big shippers are completely outrageous price wise

Yes pirate ship does work well. It is what I use when I ship rifles. Just input your dimensions and weight and print off a prepaid ups label then just go drop it off at the ups store and it ships. Also, at a fraction of the cost.

Didn’t know that. It is what is recommended when you ship a rifle to RJ Renner for his “Old frica Conversions” and that was when I first used it. Guess I should have looked into it closer. Good to know
