.375 H&H ammo recommendations for Cape Buffalo hunt

Uptade: Federal TTBC 300gr /20 are out of stock everywhere
Given your choices then I’d go with the 350 gr woodleigh softs. The extra 50 gr helps make up for being a softer bullet than bullets like swift or TBBC.

I just found a few boxes of federal factory 416 Rigby with 400TBBC about two weeks ago.... anyone have any experience with that combo

300 grain Barnes TSX loaded with 76 grains of Winchester 760, Federal 215 Mag primer. Mission completed.
Shot placement is your key to success. Practice, practice, practice...

I’ve used PPU .375 300 grn SP & I wasn’t impressed but at least I ended up with 200 cases.

PPU applied bitumen sealant between the bullet & the case neck (as with military RG for instance) & it left a residue in the throat area of the barrel & also needed solvent to clean it from the case.

For practice or even boar it may be ok but if I was going to Africa I’d be definitely be buying something else.

If anybody is interested, I have some 300 grain TBBCs for a 375 H&H, loaded by Federal I could part with if they were needed for an upcoming hunt. Just shoot me a PM and we can work something out.
