Hello to all

I live in Mexico City and heree is realy difficult to get a reloading thinks, as bullets, primers and powder.

And I get a 6 black boxes, of 300grs barnes x bullets.

the first that i know, are complete made of copper, no lines lake the tsx.

so wich loads i can use?? because the contact area of the bullet with the barrel is realy long, more than the tsx bullets, and i´m nervius about presure.

So if some one has experience with that bullet please some advice.

i have a IMR-4320, IMR-4350 & VARGET, and win and rem cases.

Thanks in advance

Gustavo

This is from the Barnes #3 manual. I do not have an earlier manual from Barnes.

So, you said that i can use the swift data for this barnes x bullets, no problem with the presure,,,and the barnes tsx has a lines that reduce the contact with the barrel and obvius the presure was reduce.

and what about the "fps" i read that barnes, has a minimun speed for a good results and performance of the bullet on game,

So if one of the old time africa hunter used this bullets and want to share his experinces with this bullet really i will really appreciate it

Thanks in advance

Gustavo

You have the original Barnes X. I would go with Varget. Start at 65 grains and plan on stopping at 68 grains. Overall length still 3.6 inches.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
