I have a ample supply of 225gr XLC Barnes bullets to load in the 338 RUM. Anyone have experience with this blue bullet in the 338 RUM.

I’ve never used that bullet on game. I have loaded 225gr Barnes TTSX and 225gr Swifts with RL25. Got velocity around ~3080fps and good accuracy.
FYI: The Swift works great on blesbok to eland.

Yes 225gr Swift A Frame are my current bullet but I am very low in inventory. I have about 100ea of the XCL bullets in my old stock.

They work just like the old X bullets and possibly like the TSX's.

I shot 185 XLC's out of my 340 Weatherby until I saw that they were no longer going to manufacture them so I switched to the 225 TTSX bullets and sold my supply of the XLC's.
