308 Norma Magnum

I am wondering how the 308 Norma project worked out. I have an '06 and I always drift into thoughts of making this rifle more "interesting". How did you find this cartridge for your purposes? Just wondering how practical you find it for practice and hunting.

She shoot really well I've worked up 2 loads so far both 165 grain that's around 2950 fps very comfortable to shoot and accurate. The other is from the Noslar data kicks a lot more with out my moderator on but is fine with the moderator at 3275 fps again if I do my bit 1/2" groups.

Fallow deer have not complained when shot with it.

Congrats on the very cool find! After researching this cartridge more I am surprised it never caught on.

If you lived in the U.S. I'd be more than happy to take your "worry" off your hands. A friend of mine owns one that he took to Africa on several safaris. He was nothing but smiles as he related the various spot and stalks to me.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
