300 Winchester Magnum bullets for plains game

Which ever your rifle prefers the best as they are both great bullets (Barnes or Swift A-Frame).

Whatever premium bullet works in your rifle is the best one. Some bullets seem to be a lot more forgiving than others. The Sierra Gameking is one that seems to work in every rifle and are quite accurate.
Years ago I could not get the Barnes to work out of a Ruger Hawkeye M77 in 300 Win.

I shoot 175gr Barnes LRX out of my 300 Weatherby at 3300fps …..

It’s serious medicine on everything except buff, hippo and ele!

What do recommend as a bullet for plains game? Largest animal I’m shooting is a kudu and I may possible use the rifle for a giraffe, smallest is an impala.

I have shot 43 African animals with 190 grain long range accubonds. Everything from eland to Impala. In 300wsm I am loading 62.5 grains of imr4831
