Pre 1970 .300 Holland & Holland Magnum Winchester Super Speed 220Gr Silver Tip recovered from lion shot over bait in Zambia. Note the perfect mushrooming with the old Winchester proprietary jacketing material made from mixture of copper, nickel & zinc

That was quite a good expanding bullet recovered there , and it shows the quality in materials as it was used before the big shift .
Always remember this golden rule, Per.

Whenever companies want to make a product with cheaper manufacturing costs... you know that quality will definitely suffer.

I am not sure about the age of my ammunition. I bought Winchester cartridges caliber 300 Win Mag with Silvertip bullets in the seventies which were already packed in yellow boxes.
Send me a picture of a cartridge and the box. I'll tell you.

+1 on use them for practice, not hunting.

That looks like ammo for 5-6 range sessions where you can do multiple drills of 3 shots quickly off the sticks at steel plates. That will be perfect for practice, you will be happy you used them up and much happier to not risk a failure.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
