.30-06 vs .375 H&H Magnum

Jack O'Conner always said if he could only have one rifle to hunt the world it would be the 375 h&h. If he could have two the other would be the 270 Winchester. With today's powders I bet he would choose the 30-06. I know I would.
Jack O'Conner shot a lot of game with his 30-06. He wrote of shooting other game, particularly sheep, with a 270 Winchester. Jack also liked the 7x57, another ancient cartridge.

No gun or ammunition manufacturer was paying for full page magazine adds for 30-06's.

The only people who don't respect the effectiveness of the '06 are those who haven't used it. Its a very capable cartridge!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
