2025 Season at MPETI SAFARIS OUTFITTER

Day 6 and 7. Both days we are hunting zebra. On the stalk of day 5, 6, and 7 we hiked 6-10 miles per day. On day 7, we spotted Zebra mixed in with wildebeest. Both animals are exceptionally skittish. After a lot of effort, we stalked a large older stallion, set up the sticks. One last time the whisper “shoulder” and boom, went about 50 yards and Diesel found him. It was a 154 yard shot.

We also went fishing for tigerfish on Jozini lake the last day. It was beautiful, but the fish were not biting that day. We didn’t care, we had the time of our lives. Before landing the boat, there were hippos and crocodiles we had to wait on for safety reasons. My wife vindicated herself but jumping in the lake knee deep to proudly walk in. They made her an official Zululander at that point. I could not have picked a better place or a better professional hunter than Conrad Fick. He is a third generation PH, with hight standards, a ready laugh, and just a wonderful individual. They have a great crew including Henno, Manla, and Ruan who is the lodge manager and has one of the most infectious laughs I have ever heard. We loved him. Abudl the chief is top notch. How could the food be any more delicious, it couldn’t. And of course, the super dog Diesel, hard worker, fearless, super intellgent Blue Healer.

If you are considering an African hunt I give my highest recommendation to Mpeti Safaris and Conrad Fick.

We just finished another fantastic safari with an AH member. This was the second time Joe has hunted with Mpeti and this year he brought his family with him. They are absolutely great and it was awesome getting to know and hunt with them! They were able to take a variety of game including buffalo, nyala, impala, zebra, crocodile, warthog, bushpig, and more. I will let them share their pictures and stories but I couldn't resist posting this one of their family with me and my son. Joe, thanks again for letting Mpeti host you and your family and I look forward to hunting with you again!

Hello AH! What a season 2025 has been so far. It's hard to believe it's already the second week of June; everyone of our clients has been great which makes time fly by. Hunting has been good but tough due to all the rain we had earlier in the year. The vegetation is thick and an abundance of water has the animals a bit scattered but we have taken some beautiful animals thanks to the hard work and perseverance of all of our clients. We have even found a little time to go fishing. I hope you enjoy some pictures from a recently completed safari!

Some fantastic animals there. Congrats to all involved.

We recently finished another very successful safari with the hunter taking advantage of our buffalo, nyala, and warthog special and adding in a few additional animals. The 2025 season continues to be great and I can't wait to get back out there next week with our next set of hunters. I hope everyone else is having a great season!

We have had several more weeks of great hunting. One recent client focused on plains game and hunted our main concession in KwaZulu-Natal and our concession in Mpumalanga. The great thing about the concession in Mpumalanga is it is halfway between our main lodge and JNB. This gives us an opportunity to break up the 5 hour drive to the airport with some hunting. Please enjoy the pics of some plains game trophies.

We also hosted a repeat hunter and his family. This was Todd's and his daughter's second time hunting with us. This time his wife and son accompanied the two of them for a mix of trophy hunting and some culling. They too spent time at both concessions with Todd hunting buffalo and his son hunting a bush pig in KwaZulu-Natal and his daughter taking blesbok and springbok trophies in Mpumalanga. They also found some time to fish on Jozini dam. With the cold weather, the fishing was a little slow but still managed to catch a nice tiger fish and catfish.

We still have some availability in 2026 and would love to discuss potential trips with any interested AH members.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
