Good day Sir
Are the skulls , claws and the skins of lion and lioness included in the price or do i have to pay extra ?

Why not :D I ll absolutely do this hunt and maybe combine it with other animals but i dont know when
2024 (we hunt till end November and I have some open times)....and then 2025 start from January to end November. Do you already know the other species you would like to target?

Some culling and maybe a barbary sheep. Some say vhaal rhebok is also a very challenging hunt. So i think i need at least 7-9 days of hunting.

Sir,
This is a very interesting offer. I'm wondering if you can provide some additional detail regarding the details of the hunt.

My questions:
1. What is the nature of the area hunted? How large, is it fenced in any way, etc.
2. Are the lions a self-sustaining wild population? Are they bred and born and raised in the wild or is it in any form of captivity? Do they receive any type of supplemental nutrition or medical attention?
3. Is the hunt done on foot or primarily from a vehicle? Is it a foot tracking hunt, or are the lions hunted over bait? If so, what type of bait is used and how is it obtained and are there any additional costs associated with that?
4. What is the typical success rate of your hunters, historically?
5. Exactly how does the Grading system work? I've seen your photos representing the different grades of lions, apparently based on mane length and maturity. Is this something that is negotiated in advance, or is it the case that you take what the hunt offers you and then you pay according to your fortune in terms of what type of lion you actually shot?

Essentially, what I am trying to get at is: is this a "canned" lion hunt?

My questions are offered with respect and I appreciate your participation on the forum.

Vaal Rhebuck, Mountain Reedbuck & Klipspringer are all found in mountainous terrain (can also do so with barbary sheep). Such hunts can be done in a challenging way for the fitter hunters for sure!....for older / less fit clients I recommend we hunt my concessions with good road network all the way to the top & along the mountain slopes!
Cull Animals (always have high numbers available) = 16 Species to choose with me in East Cape....other provinces my concession offer between say 5 to 10 species roughly....
You are most welcome to do say 10 Full Days / 11 Nights or even more....the more time we have the more hunt adventures we can fit in!!!

I choose those animals in purpose that i like mountain hunts with long walks , climbing and long range shooting. I really like ibex hunting. Last time when i was in Kalahari (2018 August) it was not that difficult

Good day Sir
My reply in RED below:

1. What is the nature of the area hunted? See attached arial photo How large, is it fenced in any way, etc. 2500ha, YES it is fenced = the whole of South Africa is fenced for that matter, its only the size thats fenced off that differs. Every Lion & Lioness that are hunted by foreign clients in South Africa, are hunted in fenced areas
2. Are the lions a self-sustaining wild population? Are they bred and born and raised in the wild or is it in any form of captivity? Captive Bred Lions (CBL) = countless articles available in internet (by various recognized sources) if you want to learn more about it
Do they receive any type of supplemental nutrition or medical attention? No, certainly not when roaming in the hunting area
3. Is the hunt done on foot or primarily from a vehicle?
If you want to do ONLY on foot in the Kalahari sand and can manage average 20 miles a day for a week then you are welcome. Alternatively, combination of searching the sandy road network for fresh lion tracks crossing during the night before and then start walking and stalking such lion tracks
Is it a foot tracking hunt, or are the lions hunted over bait?
If so, what type of bait is used and how is it obtained and are there any additional costs associated with that? No bait is used, it is against the Hunting Laws to bait any Lion during hunting in South Africa
4. What is the typical success rate of your hunters, historically? 100%
5. Exactly how does the Grading system work? I've seen your photos representing the different grades of lions, apparently based on mane length and maturity. Yes you are correct
Is this something that is negotiated in advance, or is it the case that you take what the hunt offers you and then you pay according to your fortune in terms of what type of lion you actually shot?
At time of booking you choose the category you would like to hunt and you book that category.

Essentially, what I am trying to get at is: is this a "canned" lion hunt?
'Canned Lion Hunts' cannot be legally offered by any Outfitter....not on this forum nor anywhere else. CBL Hunts / Captive Bread Lion Hunts can be legally offered yes....and it can certainly no where near be classed or called a canned lion hunt....

Have you hunted in Southern Africa before?
If yes: in which countries, which species and how long ago?
Hope to hear from you soon!
Best Wishes
