2025/2026 Sport Hunted Elephant Import Laws to USA

Does anyone understand the impendng rule changes for importing elephant back to the US? I cannot make sense of the rules. Are Category I, II the same as Appendix I, II countries? How do you get the right paperwork?

You contact conservation force or adventure permits. If you want your import permit you don’t do it on your own.

I had a conversation with Jerad Dabney at Adventure Permits International. He’s handling my leopard import permit. He’s dialed in on all of the big 5 and where they can be imported from.

Contact Conservation Force, they had my bull ele permit approved about 2 weeks after all paperwork was submitted to them.

I would NEVER try to import an elephant on my own. Only Conservation Force can do this for you
