Clarification, I do not own the company. What is your company and what does it do?
Cnc machine tool importer into North American. Our particular machines have a heavy presence in the firearm industry.

that will not happenYes. I'd also like a Winchester 1895 Carbine in 30-06.
Why do you gotta crush my dreams?! Hahathat will not happen
I just could not resist hahahaWhy do you gotta crush my dreams?! Haha
I got to shoot it at Range Day. What an interesting pistol from the Czech Republic. It will now be available with an optics ready version.I’d be interested in an update on the Laugo Alien
Ruger-Marlin will be bringing back the Model 336 Carbine in .30-30 later this year. I saw the prototype at Range Day and spoke with the Marlin people. Fit and finish is better than anything coming out of Marlin when they were owned by Freedom Group.News on Anything that has a wooden stock and isn't 223, 9mm, or 308.
Some of that is absolutely crushing news. Ruger not even making the M77 African anymore. While not in the same category as the RSM, it is still sad. I severely dislike these cheap plastic bolt guns. So, for us who cannot afford custom CRF rifles, there is no hope for new ones. Thank you for the thorough reporting! We appreciate it!Back from the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Returned with answers to most of the questions as well as the dreaded SHOT Show crud.
Winchester
1A. Winchester Model 70 Supergrade in Grade AAA walnut will be available in .243 Win, 6.5 CM, .308, 6.5 PRC, 6.8 Western, .270, .30-06, .264 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, and .300 Win Mag. I did see the Supergrade available in Maple as well with the same calibers. NO left hand versions. This is Controlled Round Fed.
1B. Supergrade but in Grade IV/V fancy walnut stock with black tip and shadowline cheekpiece. CRF. All calibers as above plus 7mm-08, .270 WSM, .300 WSM, .280 Rem, and .338 Win Mag.
2. Winchester Model 70 Safari Express. Available in Grade I walnut. Calibers are .375 H&H, .416 Rem Mag, and .458 Win Mag. It is Controlled Round Fed.
3. Winchester Model 70 Alaskan. Walnut (grade not specified). CRF. Calibers are .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .338 Win Mag, and .375 H&H.
4. Winchester 1895 lever action, High Grade. Calibers .30-06 , .30-40 Krag, and .405 Win. Regular grade is only available in .30-06 and .405 Win. The wood to metal fit was so-so. I saw gaps as you can see in the attached photo.
CZ
CZ 600 tops out at .300 Win Mag. It is not controlled round fed. There are no plans to bring back the CZ 550 which was CRF.
Sako
Sako 100 was very interesting. It is a switch barrel rifle available with either wood or carbon stock. They had the carbon stocked rifle on display. It has a spring-loaded cheek piece. Calibers include 243 Win, 308 Win, 6.5 CM, 6,5x55 SE, 270 Win, 30-06 Sprg, 8x57IS, 9.3x62, 300 Win Mag, 7 mm Rem Mag and 375 H&H.
Zastava
This was the only other CRF rifle I could find was the Zastava M70 and the only one that I'd call in lower-priced class. They are waiting on the next batch to arrive in the US and that will be in .30-06. Their website says it is available in .458 Win Mag and .300 Win Mag. However, the rep said nothing about those so I think they won't be landing on these shores anytime soon.
Mauser and J. P. Sauer
They did not attend the show. That was a shame because the Sauer 100 might have been one of the more reasonably priced CRF rifles in safari calilbers.
Weatherby
Also did not attend. Going through my notes I thought I had missed their booth but checking the exhibitor list they were not on it.
Ruger
First off, they have no current plans to bring back the Ruger M77 Hawkeye African series. They said there just wasn't the demand. I think the only way they'd do it is if a distributor such as Davidson's, Lipsey's, or TALO ordered a special run of 250 or the like. It is still listed on their website but I would not hold my breath.
The only "safari" caliber would be the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan (stainless) in .375 Ruger.
M77s in general are on hold for now while Ruger concentrates on the Ruger American line of rifles along with the Marlins. I did get to shoot the Ruger American in 7 PRC at Industry Day at the Range. They have just done a run of 1,000 after getting nagged by Steve Hornady. I think it would make a reasonably priced plains game rifle that could "reach out there". The recoil was very manageable on the suppressed rifle. Hornady is making hunting cartridges for it in their CX (160 gr) and ELD-X (175 gr) lines. According to Hornady, there will be a number of companies making rifles for this caliber.
While not safari rifles, Ruger-owned Marlin will be releasing the Marlin 336 Classic in .30-30 Win and the Marlin 1984 in .44 Mag this spring. The wood to metal finish on these was superior to both the Remington era Marlins and the new Winchesters I saw at SHOT.
Left Handed
Lefties are pretty much out of luck when it comes to current CRF rifles and even a number of push feeds. The Savage Impulse tops out at .300 Win Mag and can be set up for left handed use. The Savage 110 does come in left-handed versions up to .300 Win Mag.
Mossberg does not make the Patriot line in left-handed versions.
If I missed answering any questions, let me know and I'll see if can get an answer.
Maybe, if Motana Rifle Company actually reopens, there will be left-handed models again. Of course, they might reopen and just sell push feed plastic.Appreciate you sharing that info with us. Bummer on the lack of left handed options.
