2022 Safari taxidermy is getting done

Some mounts are on the walls. Mrs PARA45 approved and I am happy with her choices in decorations. I’ll try to post better pictures later on.

Excellent! :D Beers:

Wife decided that she didn’t like the Bushbuck there, so the Nyala took his place. The Bushbuck went over the office door. Here is also a better picture of the Kudu.

Slowly but surely the house is getting back in order. A while back I had ordered some print from Anet through @mdwest. Had them for a while, and wife and I didn't know exactly where to hang them. Well, after hanging the Kudu, and her deciding to leave him by himself, it was an easy option to hang the prints on the empty wall space. So, took the prints to Hobby Lobby, got them, matted and framed, and hung them this morning. Hope to surprise Mrs. PARA45. LOL. If you don't hear from me in a couple of days, send in help. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

With her (Yes, it is her Kudu) Kudu above.

With everything back in place, and hopefully she'll be surprised.

Hi Para45,

It all looks great! Really like the prints from Anet. The kudu looks awesome over the prints, nice touch with the continent of Africa there as well. Nyala and bushbuck look noice too. BTW, We love Anet's work as well and are having her do a painting for us.

Wow! Loving the frame choice for the prints Oscar! They have a very cool, rustic look about them...

I just got notified this morning that our trophies from our 2023 hunt are ready to ship.. Im hoping to have the crate in my garage within the next couple of weeks.. right now we have a hartebeest euro mount on the wall fairly close to our print set (we've got A LOT of Anets work on the walls lol... 7 limited edition prints, 1 big original oil and canvas of an elephant, and 1 REALLY BIG original oil and canvas of a herd of sable on the run... and we're considering another original commission now.. just not quite sure where we're going to go with it just yet... or what wall it will go on..)... The plan is to put at least 1 of the new mounts that are headed our way above the group of prints we have, similar to what you have done..

If anyone is interested in prints.. there are still limited edition, signed, numbered, prints available.. at ridiculously low prices... ($29 each for 8x10's.. or I think its $125 for 5x prints).. with free shipping on any order over $50.. larger sizes are also available...

If you know anything about LE, signed and numbered by the artist, etc prints.. you know those prices are insanely low even for an unknown artist..

While Anet Kruger isnt well known in the US (for now), she is extremely well established in Africa and was the 2022 Wildlife Artist of the year in Africa (Continent wide).. these prints honestly should probably be 3-4x the price...

FWIW, my wife makes exactly $0.00 on any sale of anything Anet produces... she and Anet have simply become personal friends, and she is trying to help Anet get better established in the US.. The plan is to have her come over and display at either DSC or SCI at some point in the reasonably near future (2026 maybe if she can get a booth approved).. at that point I'd expect to see her originals increase in price by 300% or more (which would still be a little less expensive than most of the comparable artwork you see at DSC and SCI)...

Feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions and I'd be happy to put you in direct touch with Anet.. or if you want to order anything, the website where they are available in the US is www.candlesforconservation.com

She should be quite pleased with that!

Well, wife approved of the wall with Anet’s prints and her Kudu, this was a complete hit. Wife loves it, and said it’s her favorite. (y)

Outstanding job on your part and the taxidermist. So looking forward to the arrival of my 3 critters from an August 2023 hunt, but with any great taxidermist, expect a lengthy wait.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
