I bought the rifle with the intention of building a custom rifle back in the 90’s and had a gunsmith in Laporte, Tx remove the stock barrel, open up the bolt face for a 257 Wby along with truing up the action. I picked the Argentina action back then after reading an article about it being the smoothest of the Mauser. As usual when younger, life can get in the way of completing your fun goals and this has set in a box in my closet since then. I’m asking $750.00 shipped to your FFL , from me in the lower 48 states where legal.

Let’s try $650.00 OBO shipped to the lower 48

I'll go $550.00 shipped to the lower 48.

Fine actions these & wish I had one myself.

I think a better photo of the bolt face could help, the most important photo of work done & it’s out of focus !

Good luck with the sale.

That is a nice gun but I've recently decided that I am going to consolidate my gun collection and upgrade what I keep.

I keep coming back to this action, wish the bolt and action were matching SER#'s but not a show stopper. Will send a PM

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
