18 days to go, RSA

I will Rob and Thanks! Been reading your travels with Chris. A friend of mine has hunted with CT 3 times and loved it.

Scott have you returned?

Just checking your story line :D

Not back yet, haven't left yet.:)

Good luck on your hunt. And what a blessing to be hunting with your son and to share those hunt stories at the end of the day around that fire. Those will be moments your son will never forget having shared with you. Looking forward to seeing the photos of y'alls successes.:)

Hope u have an awesome trip! I just got back, can't wait to go again..... My only regret is I waited until I was 40 to go..... In hindsight, I'd go at 25!!!!

As you say hyena is seen when your looking for something else. I saw one last year at night driving back to the camp from the skinning shed. He was just standing in the road looking at the lights from the truck. Moved over to let us by. Couldn't shoot him because you had to have a tag for him where we were. Hope to bag one some day myself and a big bull eland. Share some pictures when you get back.

Typical! Hard critter to connect with. Down to 11 days now.

BWH, I was about 32 for my first trip over. Seems like forever ago now, at 60!

Ses, only just seeing this now.

My best wishes to you and your Son, safe travel, hope the wind stays true for both of you and you make the memories that no Government or bunny hugger can take away from you.

Shoot straight and stay well.

Thanks Paul! Just 9 days out now.

Well, be leaving the house in less than an hour. I will post when I get back at least briefly, then after I rest up from the ordeal, will post some pic etc. See ya!!

Scott

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
