18" 9.3x62?

I'm about to rebarrel a tikka 30-06 to a 9.3x62. I'm wanting something shorter because I'm going to suppress it. Will I regret getting a 18" barrel vs a 20"? The suppressor is 7" long and 10 oz.

I dont know about the suppressor.
But I have all ways like carbines.
Hunting bin the swamps in fl especially back flowing dogs the shot barrel was better than the extra speed.
I just normally used heavy bullets for the cartridge.
220 in the 30-06/ 270gr in the 44

Depending on what you wanted to do with that rifle. I could see a 9.3x62 in a rem pump rifle as a exalent close range hog and bear rifle

Or look at using a reflex suppressor / over the barrel suppressor.
AB is one of the manufacturers that make a can for up to a 375 caliber that is a reflex.

Twist rate, yes if planning on shooting heavy for caliber bullet, example being a 200 or 220 grain bullets out of a 308 Winchester.

The 2 inches shouldnt make a big difference.
