I enjoy having different boots and have quite a few depending on where I am hunting. The weather, is it rock or sand, support for miles a day or xtra quiet for stalks etc. It all plays a part weather its the mud in Maine or the red beach sand of South Africa...

You know how it is a couple weeks before you leave, that's all you can think about! Trying to harvest as much as we can in the garden, doing a bunch of canning, getting as much done at the office in preparation, you know all the fun stuff. Until then we are living thru you!

I have never hunted with Reon, this will be our first trip with them. We are going to two places we have never hunted with before. instead of going twice this year, we decided to stay longer and transfer to another place. With the cost of plane tickets, it seems to work out much better.

And I will be there in Sept. Hopefully I get to read your report before we go.

Although it certainly is not fun having to cancel a trip, I am sure it is a lot harder for the outfitter that heard this one month before the hunt especially if you were the only one scheduled that week or month. Its got to be tough when you make the majority or all of your income in 4-6 months.

Exactly. Its also like how you felt hunting 40 years ago when it was still new. She gets excited about going and that is all she talks about. She even now watches hunting shows without me putting them on.

I am sure you will have a great trip, and your set up will work fine. I use an SKB case. Been going over for more than 30 years and have never had an issue. If you are putting your arrows in the same case as your bow, do not leave any field points in them. They will remove the arrows and field...

It is not actually suede, its called a rough out and is a lot more durable than suede. Suede is a scored leather of the hair side. A rough out is the side with no hair. I have a few pairs of rough out boots, they are great.

Yes one year I believe we saw 5 or 6 total. actually saw 2 at once that year to.

I have seen quite a few, but I think the most on one 10 day safari was about 6. I have had them in the blind, come in the blind thru the window, at the waterhole, in the tree while on stand, just outside in the road, and on the ground while stalking. We also found a dead giraffe once at the base...

My favorite months are July August and September. Go ahead and mount the 47. I have a bud that mounts his animals, and if ever he gets a bigger one, he has the horns fitted to the mount and the old horns fitted to the new skull mount.

We will be with them in Sept this year for 10 days. I dont know if I could wait 2 years, you should book another trip for this year and next, Just to get ready ya know.
