I weighed my JG Razorbacks with the wedge sole: ~4.5 lbs for the pair (UK size 11.5).
I’ve put something over 300 miles on them in the last 5 weeks or so and I really like them. A lot of those miles have been on pavement but I probably have 50-75 on trails and in the woods. Very comfortable...
I haven’t weighed my Jim Greens but they are on the heavy side. I don’t have any Courtney’s to compare them to, but significantly heavier than the Merrell hiking boots I typically wear when I’m just kicking around and sometimes hunting. Not to the point of being a problem, but noticeable.
The Sig Echo3 isn’t a scope but a reflex sight (sort of). I have the 2-12x model and find it very effective out to a range of 300+ yards.
For my particular situation I actually wish I’d purchased the 1-6x model as shots on pigs and coyotes longer than 100 yards are rare and never exceed 250...
I own a couple of Omegas and some other automatics and manuals including one Rolex. The Omegas are fine watches, but they’re not as good as Rolexes. I’ve asked every watch repairman I’ve ever worked with how they rank the automatics and every one has said Rolex makes the highest quality watches...
I don’t understand the seemingly widespread love of cotton clothing for outdoor and athletic endeavors. It’s super slow drying after getting wet with sweat, rain, etc. It’s useless for retaining warmth in cold weather. It retains body odor more than any other fabric. What is good about it? Its...
But have you worn any Jim Green boots? I’m clearly less of an expert than you as I’m only 60 YOA and thus don’t have 60+ years of hunting experience, but I’ve owned a pair of the Jim Green’s with the wedge sole for about a month and have been wearing them daily since I got them and I think...
I looked for a used Hawkeye African in .375 Ruger and couldn’t find any that were less costly than new. I ended up with a new one on a GB auction for just under $1,100. About $1,250 with tax, shipping,
and FFL fees.
Good luck.
Are you someone who hasn’t lived through a widespread natural disaster, perhaps? Doesn’t happen often to most living on much of the globe, but if it happens to you once you’ll keep some cash at home and some in your pocket in the future.
Beyond that, I seem to be coming across more businesses...
Those look great.
A few questions if you don't mind. Did you make them yourself or have them made? How are the pieces joined? What's the diameter of the sticks?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I won't be leaving the scope on the rifle; just curious about its provenience. I did put a few rounds through the rifle and the scope was well-zeroed and had good clear glass.
Thanks, again.
I recently purchased a Winchester Model 70 in .300 H&H that came with a scope. I've never seen the brand before and Dr. Google has not been helpful. Anyone seen or heard of an "SUI" scope? No markings on the turret caps or anywhere else on the scope.
Thanks in advance for any help.
