No there's reason for qd mounts and that'll probably save a little weight too. I've used Talley and Alaskans before but didn't know if there's better option for the so called vicious recoil. I sure don't want to strip the threads or break screws off in the action

Dave i just shot my 357, 44, and 460 back to back again today and I swear my 44 SBH has a slightly nastier kick than the 460. Now muzzle blast is a whole other story, that 460 feels like a slap in the face

So what powder did you find gives your best groups?

Yeah I use those electronic Axil ear plugs and they work great but I still get a good crack through them.

Colorado I've gotten a 375H&H and 416 Ruger since starting this thread and after reading a lot I'm thinking about a 458 WM next then a Jeffery when budget allows. I still like the 460 but that'll probably be a semi custom deal since I don't want one in the Mark V rifle.
