I'd prefer not to get into that as websites like this are being trolled be poachers looking for any information they can use to learn where Rhino ranches might be. But great questions. Someday if the world ever pulls their collective head out of the collective you know what, maybe we won't have...
I'd prefer not to get into that as websites like this are being trolled be poachers looking for any information they can use to learn where Rhino ranches might be, including things as innocent as where to get fencing which of course they can use to narrow down their search.
The ranch they were moved to is in a much greener area. That's all I can say about it as poachers troll here and elsewhere trying to learn tidbits they can use to identify where there are Rhino.
I have become a Rancher.
But of course I couldn't become a rancher in the normal way, like cattle or sheep or even ostriches. No. I became a Rhino Rancher. Yep, you heard it right.
A very good friend of mine in South Africa asked me if I'd be interested in going in as a partner in the purchase...
Thanks. And you are so right, what a workout.
When I went to my local tackle store and told them I needed a jig rod for deep big fish they pulled out something that looked to me like a crappie jigging rod. But wow, these new carbon tipped rods are amazing. It handled these fish without issue.
The plan was to go kite fishing for sailfish. But mother nature doesn't always go along with a plan. And she didn't this time. Wind is needed to fly a kite and there was hardly a breath. So we had to come up with a Plan B which Seth Funt and I agreed was planer fishing. Mother nature didn't...
Wow, that’s incredible. I thought for sure that they were gone forever. Awesome effort and I’m sure hard work and lots of money went in to bringing them back.
I would think so. I currently can wear all the different 42 pants I have and these feel no different. My inseam is 32" and these are definitely longer. Westley Richards says 33" but feels more to me like they are 34" in the inseam.

Flintlocks were well used during the civil war and many years after.
As far as the fur trade is concerned, during the rendezvous period of 1825-1840, the first listing of percussion caps in the inventories of goods brought to rendezvous was in the Invoice of Sundry Merchandise from the Rocky...
@teklanika_ray first, welcome.
So a 505 and a 458/plains game gun. Put the 505 in a wood stock only. You chose it in part for its Africa nostalgia, so go all the way with it. Open sights only, wood stock.
As a fellow Alaskan I get the need for stainless and laminate or glass. Go that route...
Wow, you guys need to move to America, which arguably is getting smaller and smaller,
That’s insane. I’ve carried one on my key chain since ‘74 and never been questioned anywhere.
So what’s next? Well I have one more animal to hunt with the 475 No 2 to have taken the Big 5 with that gun. A leopard. And I’ve got that hunt booked next year in Botswana.
Then in ‘26 I’ll start again with an equally special double that Rigby is building currently. It’s my tribute gun to Ian...
Those would be fine. I believe the company that filmed my trip is associated with one or both. Initially when I booked the trip and filming I still had my company and couldn't jeopardize it with all the woke and anti-hunter assholes, so I specifically said no, and paid for the privilege to keep...
If you are talking about it going on YouTube I won’t do that because YouTube demonetizes anything hunting or firearm related, yet they surface ads so they can make money. If you mean something else please enlighten me. And thanks.
Thank you. And it sounds like we approach hunting in a very similar way. I just let the hunt happen, let Africa give me what it wants, and it seems like I’m always rewarded for that.
Alright boys and girls, the day I've been waiting for is nearly here. The video is produced and on its way to me with the photos. Once I get them I'll go through everything and get it posted. I've seen the movie and love it. Well over an hour long.
I just purchased a Garmin Descent Dive Computer/Watch so I'm putting my Garmin Tactix Delta - Solar Edition with Ballistics watch up for sale. Battery still lasts 20+ days in regular use. Crystal is unblemished. Outside edge of the bezel shows light paint wear. $250 including shipping anywhere...
If you didn't have a breakdown, or didn't get stuck, was it really a safari? I'm thinking no.
As an aside, in Namibia we stopped at a McDonald's (okay not really but something similar) as we had a two hour drive ahead of us. I enjoyed my burger and fries by my PH couldn't even take a bite...
