I agree on the new Winchesters. Had 4 now and they all work. I think it was Tony458 that had ejection problems with a Sako 85 in .375 H&H. Kept hitting the scope and falling back in the action. My 85 spent 6 months at Beretta to solve its ejection problem.

I would stick to a .416 Rigby in the Sako 85. Lowest chance of ejection issues.

I’d suggest forgetting about either and going for a bigger DG rifle. Your .300wby puts out about 4,100lbs ME. I’d skip the .375 which has about the same energy and step up to a .416 Rigby, .458wm, or .458 Lott with 5,100-5,800lbs ME.

I’ll do $1825 on the rifle shipped. $1050 on the scope, rings, and bases. Rifle to sell first. If split, will not have screws in scope mount holes.

Not sure what year, but I’ll post the serial when I get home. I took the sticker off the barrel myself, so it had to be recent.
