I'm headed to SAfrica in a couple weeks and am going to meet up with a PH for a couple days of hunting while I'm there. The lodge he's associated with has a nightly rate and he also charges a daily rate. The daily rate makes me less feel less motivated to tip him. Am I wrong to feel that way?

With my ADD, I stick to folding utility knives. I've donated way too many real knives to people wishing they could be lucky enough to find something cool in the woods. I have a couple real knives I leave in my hunting pack so they'll last at least a few years.

Public hunting is a challenge. Public hunting in TX is for people who like dropping their odds even lower. Of course that varies depending on the WMA/NWR etc. But it's usually hard to find higher hunting pressure.

Meat processing equipment. Having an electric grinder, sausage stuffer, vacuum sealer, etc. Makes every animal a trophy!

An iPad. My PH had an iPhone and if not for the iPad I took (my phone's an android), I wouldn't have all the pictures he air dropped me. I just wished he'd used it to video instead of his little video camera. I never got copies of those videos. :E Crying:

Is there an insurance you can buy that will cover lost trophies? I know there’s one that covers trophies that are in your possession before purchasing the insurance but it would be nice to get a check to go shoot another.
