    F.A.I.R rifles feedback

Yes, I understand it’s more expensive. But it’s what it’s, I can’t afford to have a really expensive rifle that I’m not going to be happy with.

    Triple K magazines

I highly recommend trigger job at accuracy systems. After AS trigger become crispy two stage with 3-4 pound pull, instead of long squish. He does work on 7600 series Remington, including rebarrel up to 9.3x62 with accuracy guarantee.

What is going on with tipping culture in the hunting industry?

Tipping culture has gotten out of hand. People need to understand don’t demand from customers to make up the income difference. Restaurants are now adding a 25% gratuity for parties of five or more. At a beauty salon, my wife was asked about her planned tip amount as soon as she checked in. Even...

    NEW Seekins Ph3 - 375 H&H - Exclusive first 10 NEW

That’s a broad question. What does “reasonably priced” mean to you? Everyone’s budget is different. What game species are you hunting? What distance and terrain? Do you prefer a first focal plane or second focal plane scope? Illuminated reticle or not? Is weight and length a primary concern?

    NEW Seekins Ph3 - 375 H&H - Exclusive first 10 NEW

Why not? I have a PH2 in 7mm mag an incredibly accurate and reliable rifle. The only drawback is its flimsy stock. PH1 had a better stock, and with the PH3 they finally got it right again. The new stock more rigid but also features an adjustable comb. For the price, I can’t think of another...

As I see seller wants to give forum members prime access to the first 10 rifles before opening sales more widely. Additionally AH special discount exclusively for forum members, which they don’t want to publish online.

    F.A.I.R rifles feedback

Thanks for sharing pictures. That’s what though when you said narrow sights. I believe it called something like “running boar”. I don’t think it cause any problem as back up since I’ll use optic anyway. But it’s not as refined Merkel or Blaser.

Practicing with the 416 Ruger cartridge

The Mossberg is a very lightweight gun, and shooting it in .375 Ruger is not a great experience. I had a first generation Alaskan in .375, and it was more comfortable to shoot than a 5 lb .308 rifle or a 12-gauge with duck loads. Check local forums to see if anyone is willing to meet at local...

    F.A.I.R rifles feedback

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I don’t like inertia trigger, but I can tolerate it. Don’t really care about rear sight because with my eyes optic preferred. I really need to think over before taking plunge. Thanks

    Allure of the Ruger No1

GB always have fools with their money. No1 can be had ~2K depending on model year and caliber. Classic Sporting Arms in TX have huge supply of no1. Just to remember don’t call tire kicking. Do own research what model desired first.

Enter the Minefield of Double Rifles from Baikal

When it comes to double rifles and combination guns, the quality generally correlates with the price. I had personal experience with the Baikal MP-94 o/u .30-06 and 12/308, and it was less than satisfactory though, given its $500 price point, expectations should be tempered accordingly. However...

    Optics for 416 rigby

German Precision Optics run by ex Zeiss CEO. German company but optic assemble in China. Regarding their 1.5-9 scope its long scope, its 1” longer that specs. It might interfere with front sight. Scope cost varies to a couple hundreds depending which country order from. As example ~ 1000$ US...

Not bad at all. Look like not in production anymore.
  42. K

    Lightweight medium bore?

It’s a really beautiful rifle. Only drawback it’s Bavarian style buttstock curve that was made for purpose using irons sights. It wil make harder to use scope with it.

    Lightweight medium bore?

No. I implied that if i didn’t spend 3.5k on Bighorn. I would definitely at this moment add 2k and got R8. And sad part that I’ll get my Bighorn next March do to production backlog
  47. K

    Lightweight medium bore?

Reboring and iron sights installation will bring me again to 2k territory. But with extra moves and worries, no one promises that reboring will work correctly.
  48. K

    Lightweight medium bore?

Browning looks interesting but would need chopp 2-3 inches and reinstall sights for my liking. Do Browning have soldered or screw in sights?
  49. K

    Lightweight medium bore?

I personally don’t like long barrels. If Ruger I’ll would get Alaskan 375 again.. But it would be required more done to it like cut and recrown barrel and change stock. That’s a 600+ to price getting to 2k territory, I want turn key rifle I don’t need to spend $ to make the way I want.
