    458 Win vs 460 Weatherby

It will soon enough! 10.5 pounds with scope. Will be adding a SRO and custom mount. Weight should be about or just under 10 lbs. 23" barrel. Coil check. And extremely shootable. My 200lb brother also shoots it without issue and he's a 5.56 guy... :ROFLMAO:

For Sale: 458 Win Mag Browning BAR Made by Atkinson

Very mild, like a tame 375 bolt. Yes, can't taken it over the pond but a fun stateside stopper, Hog, Bear, and attention getter! Yes, it is 416 Taylor not 416 Rem, my mistake.

For Sale: 458 Win Mag Browning BAR Made by Atkinson

This one I did not want to let go, but as I mentioned here before, a Blaser R8 and some goodies is heading my way. An Atkinson Gun Company Browning BAR built to 458 Winchester Magnum. As I can find it, less than a dozen were made. Rifle is an absolute pleasure to shoot, and I know that may...

    458 Win vs 460 Weatherby

While I agree the 460 is not for everyone, the versatility of it is unmatched in the 458 arena. I think the 'will certainly exit is a stretch. Below a Hornady DGX Bonded from my above buffalo. Did not exit, worked flawlessly, and this at 2500 fps. Again, the recoil is not for everyone, but...

    458 Win vs 460 Weatherby

I shoot a sub 11lb 460 weatherby quite often. No brake on mine, 23" barrel. It's well stated here and in Pierre Van Dert Walt's book the issue with the 460 weatherby is the brake. It is not for the recoil sensitive, but in a proper fitting rifle it's an incredibly controllable and versatile...

    Good Gun Deals This Week

Agreed, but at very least list it at the correct manufacturer and model and mark it caliber unknown and sold as is. Or, don't buy it and retail it if you can't properly state what it is. At very least don't list it online. Either way, poor form from this store.

That does make sense for limited systems. That said, in this day and age you may as well get the proper code for a description on the site listing or add it in manually if possible. System ignornace or personnel, albeit neither is acceptable in today's ecomm listings. Your point on getting a...

.375H&H Barrel length… what say you?

22" would be my choice. I cut a Encore 375 barrel to 20" once and it was a fun little project. Anything over the 22-23" length just feels like a musket now.

    35 Whelen or 300 Win??

What's the expected longest shot? I couldn't get within 250 yards of black wildebeest due to wind and liked having my 300 in that scenario. As a tie breaker...has either rifle not taken any african game yet? I do enjoy bringing new rifles over to see some action if not yet taken the trip before.

This is entirely item and industry dependent. It is almost a 1-1 cost to inject, blow, or roto mold in the US vs globally. US tooling costs are grossly higher, but amortization over a large run make it negligible. Large cube items once freight is accounted for also then become more desirable...
