Yes, I love that one. It was my first NEW purchased double rifle. I sold 55 guns from my collection to raise the money to buy that VC 600NE in 2015. I sold it in 2017 because it was up-staged by my 700NE. ..... But, I actually bought it TWICE. ... I bought it back 5 years later in 2022 ...

Its permanent - if removed it would leave a "big" mark. This one is also permanent.

The capacity on mine is 1 up and 3 down. The feed lips (magazine retaining lips) on my single stack magazine extend to within 1-/2" of the chamber, so its impossible to load from the top. Sterling did this to insure 100% positive feeding with no chance of a miss-feed or jam. This flawless...

This is a sporterized 03-A3 so the mag box is 30-06 length and all the heavy bullets fit just fine. Even the 275 & 300 grain Hawk bullets fit and feed in this rifle, and because it has a deep-throated chamber, I can seat the bullets far-out , and get more powder in the case.

Most A-Square rifles were Big Bore with heavy recoil. Art felt that you can get a more positive grip on a smooth surface. Although you could get checkering on custom order guns, like my -Square Deluxe in 416 Hoffman.

I agree - it would look better with iron sights, but maybe the original owner was like me - 73 year old eyes - that can't see irons - and would rather have a scope.
