Since I posted on this thread 2 1/2 years ago I changed my avatar to the Kudu I shot with @KMG Hunting Safaris. It had always been my dream animal and I failed to get on on my Namibia hunt. Marius knew this of course, so after the photos were taken he told me that I’d have to update my AH...
That’s so awesome. I bought my first rifle when I was 21 and still remember the feeling of pride. It was a Smith & Wesson Model 1500 in 7mm Rem Mag. I shot a lot of whitetails, mulies and moose with it and took it on my first Africa trip in 2014.
That’s a real bugger about his ankles. I hope...
Truly horrific. I used to work fires in northern Saskatchewan and have seen first hand what they can do. But this is on a scale far beyond anything I could have imagined. Truly brings tears to my eyes. There will be a special place in Hell for these arsonists.
Another good day on the ice. Another batch of perch for a meal as well as an eater size pike. Also caught this fatty and one slightly smaller. They went back in the lake.
Boy this makes me appreciate my taxidermist even more. And for many reasons. #1 is that he is a phenomenal taxidermist and has clients from all over North America and overseas. #2 is the fact that communication is immediate. His wife and another lady work the front office and are always on top...
They are great little fish. Very tasty. I’ve always wanted to go fishing in Minnesota or similar area...never caught Crappie or Bluegills. I think they would be fun too.
Great way to spend a weekend...I love ice fishing! I've only been out once so far this fall but brought home some eater size perch and a nice walleye. I hoped to go out tomorrow but the wind is supposed to be blowing 60 km/hr. Not good for my fishing tent! Hope you have tight lines and post some...
I would think that one of your more “budget-friendly” black bear hunts would be in my home province of Saskatchewan. Manitoba would be much the same. We have no grizzly bears, but do have a very high bear population in the northern three quarters of the province with a high percentage of colour...
I bought a Tikka T3 in 7mm Rem Mag after handing my buddy’s in .243 and love it. It’s a dream to handle, although it may have a sharper recoil than my old 7mm. Nothing to complain about though. Shoots beautifully. Bolt and trigger are flawless, the plastic magazine has never had a hiccup and I...

Another vote for @KMG Hunting Safaris for all the reasons listed above. I hunted with Marius in 2018 and had a phenomenal time.
Also hunted Namibia with Nick Nolte Safaris in 2014. Also an excellent experience.
Two beauties there...I wouldn’t consider that mulie a management buck either! There has been several seasons that I’ve shot both a whitetail and a mulie, but never on the same day! Congrats!
Our 2019 season wrapped up this morning when the wife took her buck out of our family blind. Both her buck and mine had 4 points on the right antler and 6 on left....wonder if they were related? She has become deadly with that little .243!
The fellow I’m referring to was guided by that guy with the military type jacket, think maybe he was former army guy? Anyway they got a caracal opportunistically.
When we were in Newfoundland this summer I saw they had seal pelts for sale in the grocery store there. Very soft. Grey that almost shines like silver with black spots. I had to buy one to bring back to Saskatchewan with me!
