Must be elementary school meme day at the Tundra house. You should invite WAB and Doubleplay over.

I’ve had all of your stupidity I can take. You’re officially ignored. I won’t see your response so save yourself the effort of typing one.

Education is free but student loans is high and scholarship don’t cover much

Only way Lon’s of that kind can be forgiven is if one end up on some sort of disability pension .

Secondly..this blah-blah caracter forgets the benefits..sure taxes are high, but higher education is free..college and university..and health care is free for all no matter your income..

This statement is a classic example of a socialist mindset and exactly what Charlie Kirk was talking about in explaining his definition of happiness... Kirk equates real freedom as an individual right to make personal choices versus the "happiness" provided by a government in which social services come at a cost of personal freedoms...

Secondly, NOTHING is free my Viking friend... Your government isn't giving you anything that was not paid for by your tax dollars... All you are doing is rationalizing the cost of your personal freedoms against the level of social comfort that you think is being given to you for free, which is the epitome of liberal ideology...

lol.. one of the first things I did when I arrived in Kabul in 2007 was to buy a 250cc Helmand Davidson… I think it cost me $500.. I sold it to the guy that came in as my replacement about 120 days later for the same amount as I paid for it..

I drove that thing all over the place… every time I pulled up to the gates at Camp Phoenix on jalalabad road the national guard guys working the ECP looked at me like I was insane… “whose this 6’4” white boy riding a hadji bike?????” lol… Phoenix had an awesome DFAC though and a decent library.. and a pretty good gym.. so I went there 4-5 times a week..

I took it to Eggers, up to the top of Kings Tomb Hill, to Kabuls Fried Chicken (KFC), etc etc.. I loved that little piece of crap Chinese bike! lol
Haha, yea we had 2 on the camp but we never used them on missions. Our ANA SF guys would use them to run to the bazaar sometimes or to go to the river to fish..... which they did with hand grenades like twice before people got pissed, haha!!

"Sgt Corey... we go fishing..."

"Where's your nets? Poles? How are you gonna catch them?"

-opens sack full of frags

Junger might disagree, however I would not, haha.

The videos of guys getting killed on the bikes is obviously part of the battle, casualties are never going to be 100% avoidable. But I can still see them being effective, especially for the Ukrainians. They're small enough to fit in a trench if you needed to, which is a plus, cheap and easy to ditch if you have to as well. With the right training and employment I think 2-3 man bike elements with Carl Gustavs, SMAW-Ds, and Stingers would be nightmare fuel for the Russians.
A different scenario, but lots of the Wehrmacht had bicycles. My friend was in the Swiss Army and they employed lots of bikes also. I have seen bikes from WW2 with anti tank weapons fastened to the cross bars. Low tech solution to transport, if the terrain is suitable. Why walk if you can ride.

I feel sorry for you. Get help before it’s too late. You really need it.

Take a break, Cupcake.

Its not that you asked a question, but how you asked it. Act like a dickhead, and I'll give you dickhead x 2 in return. That's how I roll

Cupcake? Really? I’ll give you the other one, yes.

I would be interested to hear our members analyses on this.

This bears watching. Thus far, the attack is anything but a blitzkrieg. The Russian army seems to be using the remnants of its airborne troops (VDV) to spearhead the effort (ground attack - not airborne assault). However, these are not the same quality VDV soldiers that attempted (and failed) to take Hostomel Airport in the opening days of the war, or who were further decimated around Avdiivka after the withdrawal of Wagner.

The tactics are more closely related to German infiltration attacks in the First World War than anything we saw during WWII. For the moment, some progress is possible due to Russian artillery superiority and air support. That will change over the next few weeks as American munitions finally begin to reach the front in real quantity again.

As I noted in an earlier post, this could be a real attempt to seize new terrain are is a spoiling attack to stretch Ukrainian defenses - particularly in the Donetsk. The next two or three weeks will tell.

It is just so frustrating that Putin has been given this window of opportunity by his allies in my own party who were so successful to withholding aid to Ukraine for so long.

Another one of these horrific suicide videos of a wounded Russian soldier taking his own life. In this one a Russian fireteam has come under attack by several drones. Two or three videos a day of this nature are being posted by UA units on the Telegram channel. And these are just the ones seen through the soda straw lens of a drone. As I have noted before, this is not normal behavior of soldiers on the battlefield. Whether it speaks to morale, the quality of medical support, or the societal apathy which these young men carried with them to war is anyone's guess. However, I still have this feeling that the events of 1917 may be far closer than the Kremlin realizes.

The second video is one of the political shows that are so popular in the Russian media. As I have noted before, they say nothing that doesn't have the approval of the Kremlin. It would appear, these suicides are finally being noticed in Moscow. The rationalization of the commentator is sickening.

The poor bastard who blew himself up, he may never be identified even if the Russians tried.

The second video....just wow. You should kill yourself rather than waiting for the drone to get you, that way you're no longer a problem for us. It's not suicide, it's a glorious death for your country. Just wow is all I can say.

It does make you wonder when the oligarchs will decide Putin is too much of a threat to their position their.

Meanwhile, on the Western front:

Can anyone explain how much $34 trillion is? Are there possible scenarios to control this other than "new monetary policy of print more money"?

While I have given to candidates outside my state and district, I could get on-board with this.

It's maddening. A small group of self serving individuals within my own party opened the door for the Russians to make this advance. First Biden trickles aid in because he is and always has been a coward. Then the House plays games with the aid package.

If Russia makes big advances look for the Democrats to hang that around the necks of Republican candidates this fall. If I was in their position that's exactly what I'd do. Oh well, at least I'm not living in Latvia or Estonia.

This is a rather stunningly accurate assessment of the presidential race by Fareed Zakaria. Yes I know he is a leading voice on CNN, but he is usually pretty accurate on international issues and politics at the presidential level. He is spot on in this segment, and the democrat party, at least until now, seems determined to ignore the obvious as they focus on placating their base.

Ukraine and Russia are both using prisoners to fight. Ukraine is selective on who gets paroled to fight.
Russia is emptying their prisons.

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
