What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

Great choice, Seiko automatics are awesome watches. I have had two over the years, first purchased in 1989, worn in Desert Shield/Storm and second purchased in 2005, used in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tough durable and dependable, I still wear the second on a regular basis, the first is currently...

Dang that is a true heirloom love everything about it, there are a lot of great bladesmiths but Linn's work stands out to me because he melds the modern with the historic so well.

Lin Rhea is one of the best currently working plus a true gentleman and a lot of fun to talk to. You are indeed fortunate to know and spend time with him. I have watched him forge the X-Rhea Knife at the Batson symposium, amazing work and a great design.

Nice knife and it is always a pleasure to use something made with your own hands. Ebony is a pain to work with plus it is very toxic, try african blackwood instead much more forgiving, less checking and cracking plus it finishes very nicely and is readily available at Woodcraft. if using a...

Want To Buy LVPO for 375 H&H Bound for Africa

you will enjoy the Whitworth with the Vari-X III 1.5-5 scope. I have been using mine for many years and have taken game out to 240 yards with it. Once it is dialed in with correct load it is one of my favorite rifles.

What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

guidelines in my units were a wristwatch, no cell phones they run out of juice on missions, and you can't check it easily when you are in a hide or moving, watch on the inside of the wrist can be checked easily with minimal movement. Similar logic when I am hunting, minimize the movement and...

What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

Which BMW? 2019 540i here, bought it when I was looking to get a new 3/4 ton truck, the car was half the price of replacing my 2003 dodge 2500 diesel crew cab, plus couldn't get an 8 foot bed. Kept the truck and got the car as an everyday driver. Love it, Germans really do know how to build a...

    Rolex- the stupidest, lamest company

mine is post breakup so it only is marked Made in Germany. My old P220 was marked West Germany but sadly I was dumb enough to trade it for a Glock and cash, hindsight is 20/20.

    Rolex- the stupidest, lamest company

interesting thread to read. My experience with watches was similar to other military personnel in the thread. When I joined in the early 1980s my mentors were Vietnam or Beirut veterans. Their advice was buy the best quality knife, watch and kit you can afford. When the $h!t is getting real...

No pachy-derms in Montana but there are some serious Yogis and Boo Boos. He wanted a general camp knife and last ditch bear defender. Hopefully it is only used for the former and never for the latter. Although we know of several instances of grizz attacking hunters with animals down, killed...
