I don’t think bullet construction matters much. Shot placement is everything. For what it is worth I prefer the neck shot behind the false smile with an anchor in the shoulder. I shot mine with a .375 H&H 300gr trophy bonded bearclaw.

I think a used Krieghoff is the best value in doubles. If you look over a long enough period of time you might be able to find one sub 10k. You can buy a nice used o/u double for well under 10k.
