I was on a driven boar hunt in Czech last December. A couple of remarkably small piglets tore past at one stage. Then there were the yearlings. Come to think of it I remember some tiny ones the year previously.
So yes, I reckon they are capable of breeding twice a year.
I was up on the Tsavo river in Kenya 13 years ago. When I saw some warthog I was sold on them.
In general the hunt is waiting by a waterhole for a good one to show which can be a bit boring.
However a good pair of warthog tusks makes a great trophy.
I stocked up on Joya de Nicaragua cigars awhile ago in Prague. Usually I smoke the maduro robusto cigars. These were part of a sample pack. Absolutely delicious. Great company on a wet day in the woods.
Last year 2025 I went to Namibia with two guys who had never hunted in Africa before. The good rains of the last couple of years have led to an abundance of game on farms. I was able to arrange a management package with a PH/outfit/farmer I had hunted with a few times prior to Covid.
