That is seriously good value !

I like the rounded bottom of the Silvers Pad so it won’t snag on clothing coming up in a hurry. What does it weigh ?

I have seen them used variously. Lamp stands was one. In,I think, Trophaendienst near the airport at Windhoek. They make nice displays when polished up.

Hopefully I haven’t made a horlicks of getting this form to here. It may be useful to others trodding this well worn path. Thanks to @Luminous Ham for pointing me in the right direction.

Browning A-Bolt is one to consider. I have one for a number of years and am quite happy with it. I like the tang safety and the 60 degree bolt lift. It is far more accurate than I am.

Two scopes come to mind that imho cover nearly all the bases. As mentioned earlier the Swarovski 1,7-10x42. The is also a similar offering from Meopta, the R2 in 1,7-10x42. Both scopes have illuminated reticles, something that these days once you’ve used one you are sold on them.
