I like the rounded bottom of the Silvers Pad so it won’t snag on clothing coming up in a hurry. What does it weigh ?

    Ethiopian Airlines declaration form??

This might be easier if you are as technologically challenged as I am

What do you do with your Kudu Horn Cores?

I have seen them used variously. Lamp stands was one. In,I think, Trophaendienst near the airport at Windhoek. They make nice displays when polished up.

    Ethiopian Airlines declaration form??

Hopefully I haven’t made a horlicks of getting this form to here. It may be useful to others trodding this well worn path. Thanks to @Luminous Ham for pointing me in the right direction.

    Mauser Safety Question

It would appear to be a simple aftermarket 2 stage trigger for a right handed shooter. The retaining pin on yours appears to be threaded , which is advantageous.

    Ethiopian Airlines declaration form??

Flying to Namibia in a couple of months with Ethiopian Airlines. I’ve flown with them several times before, as recently as 2023. I was able to find that form on their website. This evening it has either totally eluded me or it isn’t on the website. Does anyone either have a link to it or is it...

    Would you like a Cigar?

I enjoyed this today. Nice even burn and draw. It made working on my Landrover a bit more relaxing.

S&B 7x57 SPCE for Western Hunting

I’ve been using 173gr SPCE in my7x57 for the last while. It’s an ordinary cup and core bullet. While performing well on our thin skinned deer such as sika I would be reluctant to use them on thicker skinned animals in Africa. Any bullet remains I have recovered have simply been that, remains. No...

For Sale Left hand .375 H&H

Browning A-Bolt is one to consider. I have one for a number of years and am quite happy with it. I like the tang safety and the 60 degree bolt lift. It is far more accurate than I am.

What one scope could you hunt anything with….

Two scopes come to mind that imho cover nearly all the bases. As mentioned earlier the Swarovski 1,7-10x42. The is also a similar offering from Meopta, the R2 in 1,7-10x42. Both scopes have illuminated reticles, something that these days once you’ve used one you are sold on them.

Let’s be honest….accuracy off the sticks

I use the Viperflex journey quad sticks for a couple of reasons. The legs comprise of 3 pieces. The centre piece is carbon. In the winter the carbon does not transmit the cold as much as the aluminium. When travelling they break down and fit in my rifle case with a bit of judicious packing. I...

Am I the only one who has ever missed?

Haven’t we all at some stage ? If you haven’t missed you simply haven’t done very much shooting. Some missed shots when you do your post-mortem and try to analyse what went wrong can be difficult to figure out. Excitement, poor light, bullet strike on vegetation. As long as you haven’t wounded...
