Which gun system to bring back ?

The rotary magazines are very specific, size wise. Based on CIP dimensions, the .458 Lott is COAL of 91.44mm and a case length of 71.12mm. The Win Mag is COAL is 84.84mm, and case length of 63.50mm. I don't think that COAL will fit in the magazine itself, and I'm not even sure it will fit in...

Which gun system to bring back ?

Best I can do for you there is a .458 WinMag. But there were so few of them made. But I love that rotary mag.

What caliber would you bring back from the dead?

Yes... but consider the history of the .30-06. Wikipedia is never a source, but this Guns and Ammo page also summarizes it: https://www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/classics-1903-springfield-rifle/248535#replay Initially, the 1903 Springfield was chambered in a new .30-03 caliber. The cartridge...

My Favorite Actor & His Rifle

I didn't see that as a safari movie. I thought it was about a movie director who saw himself as a safari guy, but when put to the test, failed. And managed to get someone else killed in the process. There was a theme there, and the theme was not "hunting is bad". Or, as another Clint...

My Favorite Actor & His Rifle

I did not know that, so I did some research. I'm assuming what I found on line speaks to that, and I have to admit, I did not find much on line. I'll keep looking, and if someone can point to some, thank you. What I did find was an interview he did after he made "Whit Hunter, Black Heart"...
