Not sure. I have never shot out a hunting rifle barrel. Work up an accurate load and hunt with. Maybe shoot here and there. Gun is light and shoots tiny groups. Too old to lug a heavy rifle through the mountains. I’m very happy always gonna be haters out there. Don’t buy guns based on custom...
Own a Christiansen FFT with carbon fiber barrel. Mine is in .280 AI. Super Accurate, light, come with a lot of custom features such as fluted bolt, M16 extractor. Follow break in procedure. Absolutely love it. Took four days to get it from local gun shop. For less than 2500$ you can’t go wrong
I like a heavy barrel varmint.243 loaded with 58gr bullets some IMR 4895. Super accurate and over 4000 fps. Does a hell of a job on Chucks. .243 has killed more deer than any cartridge with exception to the .30/30. Shoot placement is everything!!!!!
For cartridges from .270 up IMR 4831 and IMR 4350 will shot very accurately. They may not be the most preferred but will do the job. Believe Varget to be real close to IMR 4831 on burn chart. I also use it in some cartridges and love it. I use 4350 probably most
