    Safari boots and brands !!!

My last two hunts…. I decided to give away my boots at the conclusion of the hunt. Trackers footwear in TZ tends to be pretty marginal. A pair of boots is a wonderful gift and will really be appreciated.

    Safari boots and brands !!!

All leather outside. I once wore a pair that were partially fabric. The thorns tor them to pieces. They went from newish to rubbish in 15 days in the bush. Pick a good pair of leather boots that fit you and make sure that they are well broken in before your hunt. Nothing magic about a...

Dakota .416 Rigby early model with 3 stocks, many extras $7,500. This is an early, low serial number rifle. Also Dies and brass

How is this. I used those photos of my rifle as My camera is just not up to the task. The rifle is not there now. I purchased it some years ago. I have it in my gun safe. If you are interested in my rifle, I would be happy to take more photos and send them to you.

    Burial in Africa

As I get older, I have come to appreciate my own mortality. This is a question probably best answered by PH’s in Tanzania and SA. If a client dies on Safari, and has expressed a desire to be buried near where he died, can this be accomplished? What are the requirements after death of a...

Federal's 7mm Back Country - What is your opinion?

Absolute gimmick! It is best at separating people from their money. The cartridge makes zero sense. The hype is an example of the need for Gun Manufacturers to sell more rifles by creating new cartridges. There are plenty of guns that have been on the market for 50 years that will do the...

Federal's 7mm Back Country - What is your opinion?

I couldn’t agree more! The gun manufacturing business model recognizes that once you have purchased a rifle, you are less likely to purchase another substantially similar gun. Their solution is to “Develop” another caliber/bullet and market it. Since the laws of physics require trade offs...

In memoriam - Prayers for the American Hunter Killed by a Charging Buffalo

There is a German word, “Schadenfraude” that seems to describe the Daily Telegraph linked earlier. It is a good word describing happiness from the misfortune of another. There seems a lot of that in the public posts about this terrible incident. On another thought. The African plains are...
