Correct, screws are out already, wooden butt plate is firmly in place. Tried a bit of prying but no movement at all. Will try the hot glue

Circa 1970's Chapuis Karabinara Double Express 9.3x74R. Needs a bit of left barrel trigger work. Metal threaded bolts holding this in. Its in there very snugly. Suggestions anyone on how to remove it?

Loading jacketed for the above is giving me some trouble. Chapuis states with 90% certainty it was regulated with Norma 285 Oryx. I have not been able to load a 285 and get it to shoot any semblance of a group. At 100 yds I am in the 4-5 inch group size. Loading 64 grs of 4350 gives me flattened...

I've had great results from Arrow stock finish. Best thing I have found for duplicating the original Winchester pre 64 70 finish and color.
