I have that exact Meopta 6x42 fixed power, down to the German #4 reticle. I really like how simple and easy the sight picture is. Mine is mounted on my BRNO 7x57, and I took a nice buck with it at 150m this past fall, right at opening shooting light.
I own a version of this rifle as well. Mine is chambered in .308/.308 with a nice little Leupold 1-5 mounted on it. It came with a set of 20ga/20ga barrels too. The rifle is easy to regulate for, and pretty accurate. I was thinking that the setup would make for a really nice Moose hunting...
I get all of my shipping boxes from Golf Town. They are more that happy to get rid of all their empty boxes that the drivers and sets of clubs come in.
If you are anywhere near Birmingham, I would check out the Westly Richards showroom. There are a lot of outstanding safari rifles on display, and the staff were very accomodating and welcomed me as if I could afford one of them!
Birmingham has a great selection of places to eat as well.
I hunted with Conrad and his team in September of last year. Fabulous hunting, great experience. Took my first Buffalo with them, and I will return for another!
Mine is a 412S model with a .308/.308 barrel set and a 20ga/20ga barrel set. A really great combo, and surprisingly accurate with the adjustable rifle system.
Thanks Riksa!
You have given me lots of information, I appreciate it. The Sasta stuff, especially the cold weather clothing, looks to be exactly what I have been searching for.
I will be sure to check out those shops while I am there.
Kiitos!
Hello Everyone,
I will be travelling through parts of Europe at the end of April, with a stop in Helsinki for four days. Does anyone have any advice on some decent hunting shops in or around Helsinki that may be of interest to a travelling hunter? Also, I really like the Finnish brand...

This is what a 400gr North Fork looks like at 2200fps after being recovered from a Buffalo. They will serve you well.
