    Ditto on the CLP. That's what we used in the Coast Guard on our weapons in the salt air. But I would question the need or wisdom of shooting anything into a lever gun without taking it apart. What goes in...stays in?

    This is my 45/70 black bear gun. If I ever get to Africa, it will not be used on buffalo. But I note that elsewhere on this forum are people talking about hunting elephant with a bow.

    Very elegant. I keep hoping Savage or someone else will figure out a cost effective way to bring them back. With the ability to shoot spritzers, the round counter, the cocking pin on top you can feel in the dark, the takedown feature, they were very special rifles. And even a shotgun barrel!
