My first magnum was a Mark V 270 Weatherby Mag with factory McMillen stock. Absolutely fine rifle, very well made, laser like tack driver. Negligible recoil of course. Regret selling it.

Wrote to Westley Richards and learned this gun was No. 1 of a matched pair made for Sir John Heathcoat Amory, Baronet in 1888. He also ordered a third shotgun and a double rifle the same date. This thing handles and shoots beautifully and knowing some of its history is fun.

Tried to set it up as period correct for a Robert Ruark safari. Will miss it. Just bought a Westley Richards so this has to go.

Great. When you can send me a PM and we can exchange phone numbers to discuss it. I have pictures I will post. The stock is original but refinished to show figure in the wood. Prior owners added a recoil pad and muzzle brake. Iron sights removed before I got the rifle.

I have no idea if he wants it. He is located far from me. He’s welcome to it but he’s in Arizona. Leslie Hetrick expressed interest in a face to face meeting. Waiting to see who wants it if anyone I’m not a dealer. If not sold face to face I will have to see what my FFL will do.
