Agree. You cannot reasonably hope to get into med school or law school without great grades from a reputable university, extracurricular achievement, great MCAT scores (LSAT for law school). Not intending to sound elitist. Just reality.

Could look at J&R Guram. I believe they do British military campaign style racks.

My grandfather was a lefty and both his double shotguns were no cast: a Fox and a Smith. These were simple field grade guns he used hunting his whole life. Agree with Rookhawk that doesn’t make them left handed but his guns were not for competition and Depends what you are looking for.

Try Vintage Doubles. Kirby Hoyt usually has a number of no cast or cast on guns for lefty

Just looked at a Winchester O/U double rifle similar to @migrabill but without a scope. Since it has claw mounts, finding rings to fit would be prohibitive, so I think I'll pass.

Next up: replace missing brass corners, replace missing leather piping along bottom front where canvas is worn. Any suggestions for the discolored canvas (mold, mildew, 100 yrs of stuff)? Am afraid chemicals may destroy the canvas.

So partway through project, replaced leather handle, added hinges, and attached pictures from his photo album, but not sure if I should have just left the interior with nothing attached?

Mine was also broken, all 4 corners. Knife is fine though.

I also have Talley QD rings on my Whitworth 375 HH. Installed with screw locks first, then went with the levers.

Great points! Close to pulling the trigger on one. Still not sure whether to get one scoped or not as I see it primarily as a close range 50 yd weapon. But getting a scope after the fact seems like a major ordeal.

Good advice. I thought I would get one without a scope, but am now looking at scoped drillings as I've learned the expense to fit rings to existing claw mounts is substantial. Your day in Scotland sounds classic.

Do you plan on lining it, or just use a soft case inside? Am contemplating re-lining an old shotgun case I have.

That's a great idea, wish I thought of it! Basically turns the drilling into a double rifle.

Thought maybe I could hunt whitetail, bear, and coyote with less than full chokes resulting in 3 possible shots, one longer range with the rifle barrel and two close range with slugs through the shotgun barrels. Might be a fun change of pace.

Shame that some, lacking self-awareness, need to denigrate someone else's choice, in of all things, rifle stocks. To each his own.

Paul, I completely agree with this. I'm no collector but I have never had a shotgun come up to my shoulder and shoot so naturally as a Westley Richards I recently acquired. It's magic.

This suspicious stuff can be very damaging to this forum. I've purchased a rifle, a couple knives, and a safari shirt from members here, and sold a rifle to a member who wanted it for his grandson. Now leery of doing any of that again.

My collection of vintage cane. Caught my first trout on the fly rod 3rd from top, a Montague owned by my grandfather. I think the rod at the bottom of the picture is a boat rod, picked up at a yard sale.
