Any brass not sized for correct headspace can eventually succumb to head separation. The number of firings before this occurs is relative to several factors of which brass quality is one. The brass I found most easily failing in this respect is Hornady. Not saying I have used absolutely every...
Fabulous report. Thankyou very much for posting such a readable account of your hunt. I really enjoyed the read.
I love all your trophies. They are wonderful.
I have had some confact on and off with this same outfitter. They seem like very good operators.
Very well stated and 100% correct.
A rising, new generation and their attitudes and beliefs are driving changes in our world. Commerce needs to identify where they can continue to remain relevant and adapt accordingly.
Maybe it's coincidental but many of the newer, cost friendlier optics...
I have hunted only Namibia, Zimbabwe ( Zambezi Valley ), northern Cameroon. Would hunt any again in a heartbeat but would just as easily pick only Zimbabwe and Cameroon if choices were restricted. I have hunted the Zambezi three times. Simply love hunting there and think often of my great times...
Have had FTF issues with CCI LR primers from a couple of different batches over the years. Only sorted the problem on the second occasion. As some have posted CCI primer cups are a harder material than other brands and require a sterner strike force for ignition. I FL size my brass and am...
Only eaten Waerbuck once. Served as stew. Delicious.
I have enjoyed most game meats I have eaten and I do like meat generally. I like to try meat from game I have hunted and shot. Something previously untried is always keenly anticipated.
The only disappointments have been meats that had spoiled...
Good idea and I kinda thought Swarovski might try something along these lines. They could go to their top twenty dealers asking them to take pre-orders, maybe with deposits, and do a production run with, say, 10% extra, to fill that order. Then repeat in 2 to 4 years or whatever interval they...
Yep, something fishy about this site now that I've had a look. Maybe I'm wrong but my gut tells me to steer clear. Looks too good to be true, unfortunately.
Tasteful. Even the missus could not disapprove. Goes to show not every hunting memento has to be a full shoulder mount.
Congrats, again. A great buff.
Do you know if the colours used are the genuine and traditional organic materials ?
A few years ago I killed a Buff in Zimbabwe with 300 TSX bullets from my 375 H&H
In my belt were several rounds loaded with 300 g Cup Point Solids which I had not used while killing the Buff. I wanted to try one so from about 10 yds behind the Buff I fired one shot into the Buff through one of...
@Philip Glass
Sir, thankyou for that info. Good to hear they did well and a great pity DSC seems to have taken a poor detour. Can't argue that TTHA attendance costs are reasonable and I would agree they could see potential growth if some exhibitors are seriously looking for a DSC alternative. I...
@Philip Glass
How did this TTHA show compare in size and exhibitor attendance to the last couple of DSC shows ?
What was the entry cost per day, and for the full show ?
If I'm not mistaken the venue interior looks to be the KBH convention floor .... ?
Cheers
Whenever I open a new pack of bullets, regardless of calibre, I check weigh at least a few to ensure correct fit to specs.
The only issue ever encountered was opening a pack of Hornady Interbond 30 cal bullets that were actually SST bullets that were the same as the labelled weight.
