This is an extremely cool little gun custom built and a great gun to carry as a dangerous game stopper! It's light, I believe between 6.5 and 7 lbs, with a nice Leupold quick-detach scope. With the lightweight, short barrel, and quick detach scope, it's super easy to travel with. I purchased it a few years ago from these very classifieds and I have used it for a few hunts and really enjoyed it, but its time to thin the safe a little bit. I am asking $3500 and I will include whatever .500 Jeffery ammo I have plus the travel case.

I also have a .22 TCM that is brand new in the box that I am selling for $300

If you are interested in either firearm PM me.

I was thinking the same....I see the 22 has a thicker recoil pad....ouch

Don’t know what I’d be more scared of, the noise or the kick? Did this rifle belong to the Doctor with the 4-bore double rifle hunting video on YouTube? Good video!

Sweet Jesus, Beautiful Bijou Creek build.

I have always been curious as to how that type of Leupold quick detach base/ring system held up to recoil. Unless that set up is a new addition then I would say it holds up quite well.

couple of questions. What is the LOP on the 500? What is the barrel length? What kind of velocities are you getting with 535gr and 570gr bullets? Have you fired only factory ammo or do you reload and have loading data that will accompany the rifle? If you reload are dies included? How does it feed?

Looks like a Ruger Guide Gun M77 platform as a base

I haven't tried it so I'm not going to knock it, but it does appear to be well beyond my comfort level for noise and recoil. More power to those that can.

This is exquisite! … pm sent.

Ok, I have fired only factory ammo, haven't loaded for it. Also, I haven't chrono'ed it. I do think I have some .500 Jeffery dies that I will throw in. I just moved, so I need to locate them. The closest test to muzzle velocity I have is a live test on a Javalina last year, and it seemed to have adequate velocity or so the Javalina thought.. The barrel is 16", and the LOP is between 13" and 13 1/2", although that is the first time I've ever measured LOP. It really doesn't have much of a butt pad so I think you could add a bit there if you wanted, in fact I was going too send it to the gunsmith and have weights put in, but I never did. I will say that I am 5'8" and 175lbs and it fit me fine, and would be a great rifle to carry as stopper in Africa. I've not had it to Africa, only North America. As for recoil, let's say its on the top end of what I would want. I enjoyed taking it to the range, and I really enjoyed it on a fun hunt like the Javalina's I did. I would take it to Africa as a large gun, and then take a large .30 caliber as a small rifle. The QD Leupold rings work fantastic. I not only have them on this rifle, but several other rifles, and in my experience, they've always held zero..

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
