Stumbled onto this gem at a pawn shop the other day. Colt Coltsman aka sako finnbear in 30-06. Bluing is in 95% or better and bore looks perfect. Came in a hideous old stock that is going on Ebay and will be replaced by a mcmillan sako classic. Didn't realize that colt had these rifles made by sako, I had only seen the ones built on FN Mauser actions.

Wow! It has been treated tenderly, congratulations.

Yes- very nice! and interesing. The only Colt-(......) rifle I had seen or handled, I owned back in the early 90s. It was a Colt Sauer in 30-06. Unbelievably slick action but there was something a little different about the design and don't recall exactly what it was.

Those colt Sauers were nice rifles as well. The seem to command a decent price still.

It does look like a Sako.
Sako's sister company Tikka sold rifles to Canadian Rangers - Except Colt Canada is actually building them.

Where are you located? I ran across a SAKO AII 243 last week at an auction - got it for a good price - not a great price.

Anyways, I have a Boyd's laminate, glassed that the action should fit no problems - if you're interested?

PM me.

The Sauer Colts had a detachable magazine that was cartridge specific. They held the cartridge flush to the back of the magazine from the shoulder. On the larger calibers this would avoid damaging the tips and causing a change in COL.

The Sauers were beautifully blued. Didn’t necessarily care for the stocks but they were well made.

Appreciate the offer but the mcmillan has already been ordered

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike
